Once Saved Always Saved Lie

(Page 5)

2 Timothy 4:3-4
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they
heap to themselves teachers,
having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth,
and shall be turned unto fables.

"Onced Saved Always Saved" teachers and followers think salvation is merely a choice, reciting a prayer, and nothing more is required of them.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
2 Corinthians 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
Luke 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
If we truly abide in Him, we will walk as He walked, and keep the Ten Commandments as He did, because He is our Example of what it takes to become a son of God, being a Son of God Himself!
John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
1 Peter 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
1 John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Saving faith is planted in those who truly believe and follow, but it must be brought to maturity by the receiver. Jesus said that not all who begin will finish.
Luke 14:27-30 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.
The Lord warned to count the cost before starting, because one may not finish. Continuing in the faith is the key.
Acts 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
Colossians 1:23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
"If ye continue in the faith" means there is a chance we will not continue to finish the race.
Psalms 19:5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
1 Corinthians 9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Do the verses below imply a guaranteed eternal existence for the unworthy, ungodly, or unrighteous? Does any scripture for that matter?
When we read words such as: should be made heirs-- hope of eternal life-- scarcely saved-- work out your salvation with fear and trembling-- may obtain-- our salvation is nearer than when we believed.
Titus 3:7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
I Peter 4:17-18 For the time is come that judgement must begin at the house of god,and if it 1st begin at us,what will be the end of those who obey not the gospel of god? and if the righteous scarcely be saved what shall be the end of the ungodly and sinner?
Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
I Corinthians 9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
Romans 13:11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

The story of the Ten lepers in Luke illustrates the cleansing through Christ, and how not all continue (returned) in Christ nor gave Him Glory!
Luke 17:12-18 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.

God expects us to repent, believe, continue in the faith, abide in Christ to be overcomers of sin through His Power of Good and Righteousness!
Satan wants individuals to believe they can never keep the Ten Commandments, nor be Holy, Pure and Righteous in keeping them!

If an individual cannot sow Good and Righteousness on their own planet, then neither will they in Heaven.
God will not allow any sin into Heaven to destroy all His creativity of Good and Righteous that He loves, and that loves Him. He won't allow sin to destroy Heaven, as it has this planet earth.
Revelation 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
Job 4:8 Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same.
Hosea 10:12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.

The position that gives God the Greatest Glory is the one that encourages Righteousness, Holiness, Purity, and Obedience to God. A position that completes what God commands for His planned workings. A full-time Faith, and not one of convience. Individuals that love God all the time, and not love some doctrine that allows individuals their own rebellion and unbelief, to presume the Grace of God.

"Once Saved Always Saved" teacher and followers are seeking to sneak into Heaven another way.
John 10:1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
Matthew 22:11-13 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Haters and/or Rejecters of Holiness and Righteousness (the Ten Commandments & Jesus Christ) will always find the truth offensive.
Mark 7:9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

If Salvation and Eternal Living Life is already secure for believers, they would not need to lay hold of Eternal Life, nor fight the good fight of faith. This proves individuals can walk away from their faith. And without faith, they cannot please God nor receive salvation, since the scriptures do state that both of these are require.
1 Timothy 6:11-12 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
2 Timothy 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
1 Peter 1:5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Why must we be concerned about holding fast the profession of our faith without wavering, if "Once Saved Always Saved" guarantees Eternal Living Life?
Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
It is clear we are commanded in Hebrews 10:23 to make every effort, not only to hold on, but to not concede any ground at all. This verse only makes sense if there is a real risk of losing promises that we are hoping to receive.
Titus 3:7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Why the need for patience to receive any promise of God?
If we are "Once Saved Always Saved", then why is patience and doing the will of God required?
Hebrews 10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
Two requirements are identified in this verse, and ye *might* receive the promise.
• First, you need patience.
• Second, you need to do the will of God.
Can we just skip God's voiced requirements and still receive His promises? That would be contrary to scriptures, and not true.
Psalms 31:23 O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.
1 Corinthians 4:2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Hebrews 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
Many that profess to be Christian, ignore, or just are not taught, that the father of our faith, Abraham, obeyed the Ten Commandments before they were written on the tables of stone with God's Holy Finger. All the families of the earth (Jews and Gentiles) were to be blessed with the very same knowledge of Good and Righteousness (the Ten Commandments) to overcome sin. The Good and Righteousness of God that Abraham lived by, and obeyed that accounted him for righteousness.
Genesis 26:5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.
Romans 4:16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
Romans 3:27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
Genesis 28:14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
Galatians 3:6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.

God did afford man the tools of Good and Righteousness, to assure man that their Good and Righteousness can measure up to be accounted worthy heirs of the Kingdom of God, if those tools are utilized.
The whole duty of man is to fear God, and keep His Holy Ten Commandments of Good and Righteousness!
Colossians 1:10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
2 Thessalonians 1:11 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:
Zephaniah 3:7 I said, Surely thou wilt fear me, thou wilt receive instruction; so their dwelling should not be cut off, howsoever I punished them: but they rose early, and corrupted all their doings.
James 2:5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Romans 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
1 Timothy 1:8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;
Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Many are being taught that the Ten Commandments that God wrote with His Holy Finger, are part of the 603 laws that Moses was told to write for the breaking of God's Ten Commandments! Only Ten Laws were written by God's finger upon tables of stone, not 613. Only the Ten written upon the tables of stone are sealed in the Ark of the Covenant.
Exodus 34:28 And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
Isaiah 24:5 The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.
Jeremiah 4:22 For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.
We are no longer under the 603 sacrificial laws of sin and death (sacrifice). All upon the planet are to obey God's Holy Law of Good and Righteousness that overcomes sin, to have a successful outcome.
Mark 10:3-5 And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you? And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away. And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.
James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
When an individual keeps God's Holy Law of Good and Righeousness, the Ten Commandments, there is no need for the 603 Mosaic laws. The Jews weren't taught this truth by their religious leaders, and neither are Christians being taught this truth today by their religious leaders.
Proverbs 21:3 To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.
Romans 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Hebrews 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
If there is no law of Good and Righteousness to discern sin, how would we know we need Grace? Without the law,
how could God show us His Grace and the depth of His love for us to apply His Grace?
Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law (of sacrifice) there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law (of Good & Righteousness) is the knowledge of sin.
Romans 7:13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.

Many individuals and nations upon this planet recognize and follow a few of God's Commandments, but not all.
You cannot be partially righteous and good to inherit God's Kingdom that is Pure, Holy, Good, and Righteous.
Malachi 2:9 Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law.
Matthew 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
Revelation 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
Revelation 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

He that keepeth His Commandments, abideth, endureth, run the race, and overcometh shall inherit the Kingdom of God! Man's own responsibility to inherit the Kingdom of God!
John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
Mark 13:13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
1 Corinthians 9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
Revelation 2:11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
Revelation 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Revelation 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

A warning to take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine. Continue in these things, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.
1 Timothy 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
Why would we need to ensure our salvation if it was already secured? This scripture only makes sense if it is possible to walk away from your given salvation. If you are always saved anyway, then why is Paul instructing Timothy to pay close attention, to continue in these things, and by doing these things he will save himself? If "Once Saved Always Saved", then his salvation would already be secured regardless of whether or not he does these things.

We are to be found worthy of the Kingdom of God!
Ephesians 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
Colossians 1:10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
1 Thessalonians 2:12 That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.
2 Thessalonians 1:5 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:
2 Thessalonians 1:11 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:
1 John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Salvation is likened to a marriage for Eternal Living Life, as scriptures does portray. The Bride has a responsibility in the marriage of Good and Righteousness, being the Bride of and in Christ.
Isaiah 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
John 3:29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.
1 Corinthians 4:2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
Matthew 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
1 John 3:6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
It is the Brides God given choice whether to continue in, leave, commit adultery, or divorce Good and Righteousness that is Jesus Christ (the Bridegroom).
Jeremiah 3:8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.
Mark 10:12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.
Luke 16:18 Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.
Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
John 15:6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
2 Peter 2:13-14 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:

The message of "enduring to the end to be saved" is the salvation message that should be preached today. Instead, it has been attacked and rejected by individuals professing to be Christian. A person needs to get saved, keep themselves cleansed, and overcome the sin of the world to obtain Eternal Living Life.
Matthew 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
1 Timothy 5:22 Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.
Jude 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Revelation 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
Revelation 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Revelation 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
